The wider Group comprises a number of businesses, covering property and asset management, civil engineering, and fit-out and social housing.
The role
They are seeking a hands-on, working Site Manager to lead and deliver a full internal and external refurbishment of an office building (townhouse property).
You will take responsibility for managing the project on site from commencement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme, while maintaining high standards of quality throughout.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day site operations and programme delivery
* Coordinating subcontractors, trades and suppliers
* Maintaining sequencing of works and resolving delays where required
* Upholding high standards of quality across all elements of the build
* Leading health and safety on site, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and company procedures
* Preparing and implementing RAMS, ensuring all operatives adhere to them
* Managing inductions, site access and PPE compliance
* Carrying out regular inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings
* Identifying and managing risks, particularly within a constrained central London and conservation setting
* Liaising with internal asset management and project teams
* Maintaining site records, reporting and documentation
* Problem-solving day-to-day site issues to keep the project on track
* Ensuring delivery aligns with design intent and conservation requirements
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment or high-end office/residential projects
* Strong practical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site delivery
* Hands-on background in construction or joinery is highly desirable
* Demonstrable experience managing health and safety on site
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to take ownership of a project and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
* Strong communication skills, comfortable working with internal teams, consultants and subcontractors
* Flexible, reliable and solutions-focused mindset
* Experience working in central London or conservation areas would be beneficial
