The Opportunity
We are working on behalf of a well-established, client-side property business with an international presence, seeking an ambitious Assistant Building Surveyor who is within 6–12 months of sitting their APC. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation offering exposure to a diverse commercial portfolio and strong support towards achieving MRICS status.
The Role
You will support the acquisition and ongoing management of a varied commercial property portfolio, working closely with senior surveyors and asset managers. The role offers hands-on experience across key sectors including industrial, retail, and office.

Assist in the acquisition of commercial properties, including due diligence and technical assessments
Support the management of an existing portfolio, ensuring assets are maintained and compliant
Undertake inspections, prepare reports, and advise on defects, maintenance, and refurbishment
Assist with contract administration and project delivery
Provide professional advice across a range of building surveying services including RCA's, TDD and Dilapidations
Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholdersAbout You
Degree-qualified in Building Surveying
Currently working towards APC, with approximately 6–12 months remaining
Experience within commercial property (industrial, retail, or office preferred)
Strong technical knowledge and report writing skills
Proactive, organised, and eager to progress within a client-side environmennt
