The Opportunity
A leading contractor is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer / Package Manager to join their team on a high-profile project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically complex scheme, taking ownership of the BMS package from installation through to commissioning and handover.
You will play a key role in delivering a fully integrated Building Management System, ensuring quality, performance, and compliance across all stages of the project.
Role Overview
– Manage the full BMS package lifecycle from pre-construction through to completion
– Coordinate with M&E teams, subcontractors, and consultants
– Oversee installation, commissioning, and integration of BMS systems
– Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
– Monitor and enforce health & safety on site
– Review technical submittals, drawings, and specifications
– Support testing, commissioning, and final handover
Key Responsibilities
– Day-to-day management of BMS subcontractors
– Programme management and progress reporting
– Quality assurance and compliance checks
– Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
– Liaising with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
– Proven experience as a BMS Engineer or BMS Package Manager
– Strong knowledge of BMS systems (e.g., Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider)
– Experience working on large-scale commercial or residential projects
– Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple disciplines
– Strong technical and communication skills
– Relevant qualifications in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or similar
– SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS (preferred)
