Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £42k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a highly respected name within the Asbestos industry. They have recently grown their presence in the Yorkshire and North West of England, therefore they are recruiting for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst. You will be working across a range of commercial, industrial and residential contracts, conducting the full range of asbestos surveys, air monitoring and 4 stage clearances. We are seeking someone with a strong track record within the industry, who can hit the ground running. Candidates will ideally be situated close to the M62. Salaries on offer are competitive and benefits include: company vehicle, overtime, pension scheme and annual leave.
Locations of work include: Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Normanton, Castleford, Barnsley, Morley, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Brighouse, Garforth, Pontefract, Huddersfield, Halifax, Rochdale, Oldham, Burnley, Bolton, Bury, Chorley, Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Leigh, Skelmersdale, Manchester, Widnes, Runcorn.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
* Will hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
* Excellent technical knowledge (including HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
* Ideally will have worked within a UKAS accredited outfit
* Flexible to travel in line with company needs
* Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
* Carrying out thorough management, demolition and refurbishment asbestos surveys
* Safely collecting ACM samples from site for analysis
* Performing air monitoring, including: personal, reassurance, leak, background and smoke
* Conducting 4 stage clearances
* Working across a variety of asbestos removals projects, varying in size and nature
* Producing detailed technical reports
* Wearing correct PPE at all times
* Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets
