Freelance Project Manager – £15m School Refurbishment

Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Contract: Freelance / Contract
Project Value: Circa £15m
Client: Tier 1 Main Contractor

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to deliver a £15m live school refurbishment project in Chelmsford, working for a well‑established Tier 1 main contractor.

This is a high‑profile education project involving complex refurbishment works, demanding strong stakeholder management, programme control, and a proactive approach to on‑site delivery within a live environment.

Candidate Requirements

* Proven experience as a Project Manager on refurbishment projects (£10m+)

* Strong background working for Tier 1 or large Tier 2 main contractors

* Previous education / school refurbishment experience highly desirable

* SMSTS, CSCS , and First Aid

* Excellent communication and leadership skills
