As a Revit Technician, you will work closely with our high-profile clients to produce detailed Revit drawings for fire protection sprinkler systems. You will assist the design team in creating accurate 2D and 3D drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work, ensuring that all drawings adhere to the highest quality standards and procedures. You will also assist in updating and revising drawings based on feedback from the Operations and Installation teams. This role involves maintaining project documentation and supporting the team in meeting project deadlines and client expectations.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a Revit Technician role or a similar position in Engineering.
You should have proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, along with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
A positive attitude to learning and wanting to improve is essential, as is the ability to work to defined procedures and coach others in standardising Design.
You must hold a relevant qualification in Revit or Engineering (for example, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline).
Strong attention to detail and technical drawing skills are required, together with fluent English.
The ability to work under pressure to project deadlines while maintaining adherence to process disciplines is important.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
It is desirable that candidates are dedicated and hardworking, hold a full driving licence, and are organised and accurate.
An enjoyment of working in a busy environment, working with CAD packages, and working on their own initiative is also beneficial, along with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will design fire protection sprinkler systems for high-profile clients and produce REVIT drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work.
You will ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
Additional responsibilities include creating Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software, planning project programs and scheduling, and preparing submittals.
You will work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve, and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.
Hours:
The minimum working week is based on 37 hours (9:00am to 5:30pm – Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 3:45pm – Friday).
