Project Planner – Engineering / Defence Sector Project Support
Location: Office-based (Portsmouth)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Contract: Minimum 3 months (strong potential for long-term work – 2–3 years
Experience Required: 3–5 years
Pay Method: CIS / Ltd Company
Day Rate: Negotiable depending on experience
Overview 🚢
We are currently seeking an experienced Planner to support a major engineering programme within the defence sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term, high-profile project with strong extension potential and the possibility of permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities 📋
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
Coordinate planning activities across engineering and delivery teams
Track progress against programme milestones
Identify risks, delays, and resource constraints
Support reporting requirements for internal stakeholders
Ensure planning outputs align with project delivery objectives
Requirements ✅
3–5 years’ experience in a planning role (engineering, infrastructure, marine, or defence environments desirable)
Strong scheduling and coordination skills
Proficiency in Project Office (essential)
Experience supporting structured project timelines
Confident communicator able to liaise with multidisciplinary teams
Able to work full-time onsite in Portsmouth
