Project Manager (joinery / carpentry background )
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee joinery and fit-out projects from initial brief through to completion. The role involves managing timelines, budgets, client relationships, and ensuring high-quality delivery across all stages of manufacture and installation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, scheduling, and execution
* Act as the main client contact and lead project meetings
* Coordinate with architects, contractors, and internal teams
* Monitor budgets, costs, and project performance
* Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts
* Oversee production, delivery, and on-site installation
* Ensure quality standards and health & safety compliance (including RAMS)
* Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular project updates
Requirements
* Proven experience in joinery or fit-out project management
* Strong understanding of bespoke/commercial joinery
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
* Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
Desirable
* Experience in high-end residential or commercial projects
* CSCS (Manager level), NVQ Level 6/7, or SMSTS
