Senior Electrical Engineer

We are representing a high-performing, multi-disciplinary MEP consultancy looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Bristol team. This is a pivotal role for a technically astute engineer who is ready to take the lead on high-value projects, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff.

The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the electrical design and delivery of diverse schemes, from initial feasibility through to site completion.

Leadership: Chair internal project meetings, manage resource allocation, and supervise a team of engineers and technicians.

Design & Technical: Take full ownership of electrical building services design, including LV switchgear, distribution systems, standby power/generators, and HV infrastructure.

Software Proficiency: Deliver precise calculations and designs using Amtech, DIALux, Relux, and AutoCAD/BIM software.

Commercial Management: Manage project deliverables in accordance with NEC and JCT contracts, ensuring adherence to BSRIA and BS 7671 standards.

Client Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for clients, design partners, and contractors, ensuring strong professional relationships are maintained throughout.
The Ideal Candidate

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience within a building services consultancy.
*
Affiliation: Member of IET or CIBSE (holding or working towards Chartered Engineer status).

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sustainable construction, current building regulations, and on-site power generation.
