Quantity Surveyor

We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a new build residential development in Bristol.

This is a long-term opportunity working on a multi-unit housing scheme, offering involvement across the full lifecycle of the project with a well-established contractor.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring effective cost control and financial management throughout.

You will work closely with the site and project teams, overseeing subcontractor packages and supporting the successful delivery of the scheme.

Key Responsibilities

Managing project costs from procurement through to final account

Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages and orders

Valuations, variations, and cost reporting

Monitoring budgets and forecasting project spend

Managing subcontractor accounts and payments

Supporting procurement and supply chain management

Liaising with site teams, project managers, and clients

Ensuring commercial processes are followed and documented

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential construction

Strong knowledge of new build housing developments

Experience managing subcontractor packages and commercial processes

Ability to work independently within a project team
