Health & Safety Advisor – Construction

📍 Midlands (Coventry / Birmingham area)
💰 £350-£550 per day (DOE) (Outside IR35)
📅 Immediate Start | 3-6 Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support multiple live construction sites across the Midlands on a freelance basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive H&S professional to step into a fast-paced environment and make an immediate impact across several active projects.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing health & safety standards across a portfolio of live sites, ensuring compliance and promoting best practice at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting regular Health & Safety inspections across sites (rotating daily visits)
Providing practical advice and guidance on H&S matters to site teams
Ensuring high safety standards are consistently maintained
Reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
Delivering Toolbox Talks (TBTs) and safety briefings
Supporting and conducting incident investigations where required

Location

You will be working across multiple sites including:

Coventry (4 sites)
Tamworth
Nuneaton
Cheltenham
Gloucester👉 Candidates based in or around Coventry / Birmingham will be best suited due to site spread.

Requirements

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
Proven experience in a construction H&S role
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently across multiple sites
