Client Information

Our client holds a long-term facilities and project delivery contract across multiple UK sites including Bristol, Derby, Yorkshire, and Durham. They deliver a wide range of construction and refurbishment projects valued between £500k and £2m.

Senior Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities

* Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account.
* Prepare cost plans, estimates, and tender submissions within tight turnaround periods.
* Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation, and contract administration.
* Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and cash flow to ensure profitability.
* Work closely with project teams to ensure commercial success across groundworks, fit-outs, and refurbishment schemes.

Senior Quantity Surveyor requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction or refurbishment projects.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience managing projects in the £500k-£2m range.
* Excellent knowledge of contract forms (e.g., JCT) and cost control processes.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across multiple sites.
