Registered Building Inspector – Class 2D

Our client, a leading authority in building control within the public sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2D) to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with current building regulations and standards
Assessing and evaluating construction methods and materials for safety and regulatory adherence
Providing guidance and recommendations to builders, contractors, and developers
Preparing and issuing detailed reports on inspection findings and compliance status
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues
Maintaining accurate records of inspections and correspondence
Conducting follow-up inspections to verify remediation of identified issues
Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

Job Requirements:

Experience in building inspection, particularly in the buildings sector
Holder of a Class 2D certification in Building Control
Strong understanding of current building regulations and standards
Excellent observational and analytical skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to provide clear and practical advice to a range of stakeholders
Proficient in report writing and maintaining accurate records
Flexible approach to working hours and locations as required
