We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of internal packages—specifically drywall systems and ceilings—on a major new-build educational project in Cardiff. 

About the Opportunity

You will be working for a specialist contractor delivering internal construction solutions across a range of sectors including education, residential, and commercial developments. Projects typically involve high-quality finishes, modern construction methods, and close collaboration with leading main contractors. The business prides itself on delivering consistent standards, safe working practices, and reliable project outcomes.

This is a key role overseeing the planning, coordination, and successful execution of internal fit-out elements, ensuring programme, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved.

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will take full responsibility for managing the internal works package from pre-construction through to completion. This includes drywall, partitioning, and ceiling installations across a large-scale education scheme.

You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and the main contractor to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of drywall and ceiling installations on site
Oversee programme delivery, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Monitor quality standards, ensuring a high level of finish throughout
Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures
Attend and lead progress meetings with stakeholders
Identify and resolve technical or delivery challenges proactively
Maintain accurate reporting on progress, costs, and risks

About You

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager/ Project Manager within the construction industry
Strong background in drylining, partitioning, and suspended ceiling systems
Experience delivering projects within education, commercial, or similar sectors
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and internal fit-out processes
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive performance on site
SMSTS, CSCS and 1st Aider certification required
