Location: Birmingham (West Midlands)
Sector: Construction – Fit-Out Projects

Salary (£55,000-£70,000 + Package)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an Estimator to join our team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial fit-out projects across the West Midlands. You will play a key role in securing new business by producing high-quality tenders and supporting the pre-construction team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for fit-out projects
Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to assess project requirements
Take off quantities and build up rates for labour, materials, and subcontract packages
Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Attend site visits, pre-tender and post-tender meetings
Work closely with design, commercial, and project delivery teams
Maintain and update cost databases and estimating toolsRequirements:

Previous experience as an Estimator within construction, ideally fit-out/interiors
Strong understanding of commercial fit-out projects (CAT A / CAT B)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating softwareDesirable:

Experience working for a main contractor or fit-out specialist
Knowledge of current market rates and supply chain within the Midlands
