About the Role
We are seeking experienced Slinger / Signallers to work on shaft sinking and tunnelling projects across the North West UK. This is a long-term opportunity on a major infrastructure scheme, offering consistent work for up to five years in a safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out safe slinging and signalling duties during lifting operations on shaft sinking and tunnelling projects
* Communicate clearly with crane operators using approved hand signals and radio systems
* Follow all lifting plans, method statements, and site safety procedures
* Inspect lifting gear and equipment prior to use, reporting any defects
* Support installation and movement of heavy plant, materials, and tunnel segments
* Work effectively in confined spaces and underground conditions
* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Essential Requirements
* Valid Slinger/Signaller certification (CPCS / NPORS or equivalent)
* Proven experience working on shaft sinking and tunnelling projects
* Confined Spaces certification (Medium/High Risk) – essential
* Valid medical certificate (safety-critical) – essential
* Strong understanding of lifting operations and safe systems of work
* Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required
* Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player

* CSCS card
* First Aid certification
* Experience on large-scale civil engineering or underground infrastructure projects
