A major contractor specialising in the supply and installation of drylining, partitions, ceilings, and joinery is seeking an experienced Drylining Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Operating across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality interior fit-out solutions across the UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and strong commercial performance throughout.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans
* Measurement and valuation of drylining works, including partitions, ceilings, SFS, plastering, and joinery elements
* Procurement of subcontractors and materials
* Preparation, submission, and negotiation of interim valuations and final accounts
* Cost reporting and forecasting across multiple projects
* Identification, valuation, and management of variations
* Liaising with site teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
* Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within drylining, interiors, or fit-out
* Strong knowledge of drylining systems, ceilings, partitions, and joinery packages
* Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial software
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Must be willing to travel to project sites across various locations within the UK
