Assistant Site Manager – Social Housing Refurbishment
Salary: £38,000 package

A leading contractor within the social housing sector is looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of refurbishment works on a Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build and develop a long-term career in construction, working closely with experienced Site Managers and gaining hands-on exposure across social housing refurbishment projects.

The RoleAs Assistant Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of sites, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. You will gain experience across both internal and external works within occupied properties, while developing your knowledge of site management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the day-to-day management of refurbishment works across social housing properties
Support Site Managers in coordinating subcontractors and site teams
Help monitor health & safety on site, ensuring all procedures are followed
Assist with site inspections, progress tracking, and reporting
Support with site logistics including deliveries, materials, and general organisation
Liaise with residents and stakeholders, maintaining clear and professional communication
Help ensure works are completed to the required quality standards
Maintain site records including daily logs, RAMS, and health & safety documentationRequirements
Some experience within construction or a related role (e.g. Trainee/Assistant Site Manager, Supervisor, or similar)
A strong interest in building a career within construction and site management
Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new responsibilities
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Interest or experience within social housing or refurbishment (desirable)Qualifications (Desirable)
CSCS Card
SSSTS or willingness to work towards
