Role Overview:
As the face of our Staines branch, you will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations. This hands-on position combines customer service, hire administration, and basic office tasks, making every day unique and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers in branch, over the phone, and via email, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
Sales Processing: Accurately process sales and hire transactions using the till and internal systems, helping customers with their needs efficiently.
Hire Administration: Support the hire process by booking hires, off-hires, and managing returns with precision.
Order Preparation: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders with care, ensuring timely delivery of products.
Stock Management: Replenish stock and maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment to enhance productivity.
Delivery Assistance: Assist with deliveries, goods-in, and stock checks to keep operations running smoothly.
Product Advice: Provide customers with knowledgeable product and hire advice, enhancing their overall experience.
Office Tasks: Carry out basic office-based tasks, including order processing, data entry, and system updates, ensuring everything is up to date.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the branch team to achieve operational and sales targets, contributing to a lively team atmosphere.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a customer-facing, hire, warehouse, or trade environment is preferred.
Hire industry experience is a bonus, but not essential!
Familiarity with building or plumbing materials is advantageous, though not required.
Confident using computers for order processing, hire systems, and MS Office applications.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to foster a collaborative environment.
Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a positive attitude that inspires others.
