Job Summary

We are recruiting for a CAD Technician with AutoCAD experience to join a busy and growing design company near Colchester.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in 2D CAD drawings and space planning, looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment with long-term progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Produce 2D existing and proposed space plans using AutoCAD
Create detailed design packs and technical drawings
Support Senior and Lead Planners/Designers on projects
Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets and documentation
Assist with general administrative tasks related to design projects

Requirements

Proven experience using AutoCAD (2D drawings essential)
Previous experience in a similar CAD or design role
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Adobe Creative Suite experience (desirable but not essential)
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Motivated, proactive, and willing to learn
Must have own transport due to location

Salary & Benefits

£25,000 – £30,000 per year depending on experience
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm and Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
20 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing to 25 days with service)
