Facades Estimator

A Facades Estimator role responsible for preparing accurate cost plans and competitive tenders for external envelope packages. The position is based in Basildon and suits someone with strong technical knowledge of façade systems, confident in analysing drawings, specifications, and subcontractor pricing to support successful bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender submissions for façade and external envelope works.

Review drawings, specifications, and design information to identify risks, opportunities, and value‑engineering options.

Manage subcontractor enquiries, assess quotations, and compile robust pricing comparisons.

Work closely with pre‑construction, design, and commercial teams to ensure bids are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project requirements.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of façade systems, market rates, and supply‑chain capabilities.

Candidate Profile

Experience estimating façade or envelope packages for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.

Strong understanding of cladding, glazing, curtain walling, rainscreen, and associated systems.

Confident interpreting drawings and technical documentation.

Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.

Organised, proactive, and comfortable working to deadlines in a fast‑paced pre‑construction environment
