Estimator – Passive Fire Protection & Fire Doors (UK‑Wide)

An Estimator role specialising in passive fire protection and fire‑door packages, responsible for producing accurate cost plans and competitive tenders for projects across the UK. This position suits someone with strong technical understanding of fire‑stopping systems, fire‑door installation, and compliance requirements, confident in analysing drawings, specifications, and subcontractor pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost plans, take‑offs, and tender submissions for passive fire protection and fire‑door works.

Review drawings, specifications, surveys, and fire‑strategy documents to ensure accurate pricing and compliance.

Manage subcontractor enquiries, evaluate quotations, and compile robust pricing comparisons.

Identify risks, value‑engineering opportunities, and compliance considerations within tender documentation.

Work closely with operational, commercial, and compliance teams to support successful bid delivery.

Maintain strong knowledge of fire‑stopping products, fire‑door standards, certification requirements, and market rates.

Candidate Profile

Experience estimating passive fire protection, fire‑stopping, or fire‑door packages for a contractor or specialist.

Strong understanding of fire‑safety regulations, certification schemes, and installation standards.

Confident interpreting technical drawings, fire strategies, and compliance documentation.

Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
