The role & about the client:
Our client is a well-established residential contractor delivering high-quality housing developments across the South of England. With a strong pipeline of projects including traditional build housing, low-rise apartments and mixed-use residential schemes, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple developments and ensure successful delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing multiple residential construction projects simultaneously
Overseeing Site Managers to ensure programmes are met
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
Monitoring build quality and ensuring high standards are maintained
Working closely with commercial teams to manage costs and margins
Supporting pre-construction activities including programme input and logistics planning
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
Providing regular progress reports to senior management The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager within residential construction
Strong track record delivering housing developments for main contractors or residential developers
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple schemes
Good understanding of traditional build and timber frame construction methods
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications (preferred)
