Quantity Surveyor (Renewable Energy Projects)

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000
Contract Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering renewable energy projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative solar and battery energy storage (BESS) developments, playing a key role in the commercial success of projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage project budgets, including materials, subcontractors, plant, and equipment

* Oversee subcontractor procurement, including issuing and negotiating subcontract agreements

* Administer contracts, including managing variations, early warnings, and risk mitigation

* Produce detailed commercial reports, including monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR)

* Act as a client-facing representative, maintaining strong professional relationships

* Ensure robust financial and commercial control across all project stages

Requirements

* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred)

* Experience working on solar and/or BESS projects (advantageous)

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

* Solid understanding of contract management and commercial processes

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a site-based environment
