A leading electrical and mechanical contractor with a century-long heritage is seeking an experienced Electrical Small Works Manager to join its Oxford headquarters. This is a key role within a well‑established, highly respected business known for delivering high‑quality projects across commercial, educational, heritage, and public‑sector environments.

The Role

You will oversee a portfolio of electrical small works projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest technical standards. The position combines operational leadership, client engagement, and hands‑on project management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and deliver multiple small works projects from enquiry through to completion

Provide technical guidance, quotations, and costings for new works

Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractors

Maintain strong client relationships and act as a primary point of contact

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures

Support the development of engineers and apprentices within the team

Identify opportunities for additional works and contribute to business growth

About You

Proven experience in electrical contracting, ideally within small works or maintenance

Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and current regulations

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Customer‑focused approach with a commitment to quality

Full UK driving licence

Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, etc.)
