On offer is a hybrid, home-based role where you will support learners remotely and occasionally from head office. You will assess coursework, provide structured and constructive feedback, and carry out Internal Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with awarding body standards. You will also mentor other assessors and contribute to continuous improvement across training programmes.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in fire safety, particularly within Passive Fire Protection or Fire Doors, who is looking to transition into a teaching, assessing, and quality assurance role with long-term progression and development.
The Role:
* Assess learners across Fire Risk Assessment, Passive Fire Protection, and Fire Door Inspection
* Provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback to support learner development
* Conduct Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) to maintain high standards and compliance
* Support and mentor assessors, promoting best practice
* Manage your own caseload and track learner progress
* Contribute to the development of training and assessment materials
The Person:
* Background in Fire Safety (Passive Fire Protection, Fire Doors or similar)
* Holds or is willing to work towards teaching / assessor / IQA qualifications
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment
* Passionate about developing others and maintaining high standards
