Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile £40m scheme in Central London, working for a leading specialist contractor. This technically complex project combines high-rise demolition, top-down construction methodology, and significant structural and temporary works challenges.

This role requires a project leader with a strong engineering background/track record, capable of managing risk, sequencing complex packages, and driving programme certainty in a constrained urban environment, as well as possessing first class client skills.

Scope of Works

You will be responsible for this scheme from preconstruction through to handover, including:

* High-rise demolition

* Top-down enabling works and construction

* Piling operations

* Installation of screening systems

* Reinforced concrete frame construction

* Heavy temporary works design and implementation

* Bulk and detailed excavation works

* Structural cut and carve

* Concrete strengthening and remediation

Key Responsibilities

* Full project ownership from pre-construction through to handover

* Leadership of multidisciplinary teams (engineering, TW design etc)

* Programme development, monitoring, and recovery planning

* Management of complex sequencing, logistics, and constrained site operations

* Oversight of temporary works coordination and design approvals

* Stakeholder management including client and local authorities

* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

* Risk identification, mitigation, and reporting

Requirements

* Proven track record delivering large-scale (£30m+) complex projects

* Strong experience in demolition, enabling works, and RC frame

* Demonstrated expertise in top-down construction methodologies

* Deep understanding of temporary works and structural sequencing

* Experience with low headroom piling and constrained site logistics

* Excellent leadership and communication skills

* Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
