Job Title: Fire Door Surveyor
Location: Berkshire & Surrey (with travel across surrounding areas)
Salary: up to £45k + Package 

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Door Surveyor to join our growing team, covering sites across Berkshire and Surrey. This is a field-based role involving the inspection, assessment, and reporting of fire doors to ensure full compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive fire door inspections in residential, commercial, and public sector buildings
Assess fire doors and components against relevant standards (e.g. BS 8214, BS 476, EN 1634)
Accurately record findings using digital reporting systems
Identify non-compliance issues and recommend remedial actions
Liaise with clients, site managers, and contractors professionally on-site
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety requirements
Produce clear, concise, and compliant survey reports
Requirements

Proven experience as a Fire Door Surveyor or in passive fire protection
Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and industry standards
Relevant certifications (e.g. FDIS Diploma, BRE, or equivalent) preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Comfortable using tablets/software for reporting
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Desirable

Experience working across social housing or commercial property portfolios
Knowledge of compartmentation and wider passive fire protection systems
