The Role
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ranging from £200k to £10m+. Working as part of a collaborative commercial team, you will contribute to effective cost management, contract administration, and project performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial skills within a fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects while supporting senior team members and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of cost, value, and cash flow reporting
* Support project forecasting, CVRs, and commercial planning
* Prepare applications for payment and assist through to final account
* Support subcontract procurement, administration, and financial management
* Assist in administering contracts (primarily NEC and IChemE forms)
* Help identify commercial risks and opportunities
* Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients on commercial matters
* Support cost control and efficiency improvements across projects
* Ensure compliance with internal commercial processes
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or civil engineering
* Working knowledge of NEC/IChemE contracts
* Experience supporting subcontract procurement and commercial processes
* Understanding of cost reporting and forecasting
* Strong communication, organisational, and numerical skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable
* Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
* Working towards RICS or similar professional membership
* CSCS card
* Experience in estimation or direct delivery environments
