Associate Fire Engineer

In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to project manage fire engineering commissions from concept through delivery, shaping building design aspirations, functionality and architectural form while providing trusted client care and consultancy.

The role includes representing the team at internal and external design team meetings, taking ownership of project financial performance (including invoicing and monitoring), and developing the technical expertise to identify and specify appropriate fixed fire protection systems such as detection and suppression.

You will carry out and review fire engineering calculations, ranging from hand calculations to advanced smoke modelling, evacuation analysis and complex 3D CFD, bringing demonstrable experience delivering UK fire and life safety designs and successfully gaining approval for prescriptive and performance-based solutions.

A Higher Education qualification in engineering or a fire safety-related discipline is required, alongside a proven track record of professional practice and confident engagement with approving authorities
