Contract Lift Manager

A leading lifting solutions provider is looking for a Contract Lift Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong lift planning experience, CAD capability and a solid understanding of lifting operations who wants to take ownership of projects from planning through to delivery.
The Role
As a Contract Lift Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organising and overseeing contract lift operations for a wide range of clients. This includes producing technical documentation, attending site visits and ensuring all lifting activities are delivered safely and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce lift plans, CAD drawings, elevation drawings and slinging diagrams.
* Create logistics plans, traffic management plans and sweep path analysis.
* Prepare estimates, quotations and supporting documentation.
* Combine and issue project documents to clients.
* Attend site meetings and surveys to support planning and coordination.
* Carry out peer reviews of lift plans produced by colleagues.
* Liaise with clients to ensure smooth, safe and timely delivery of lifting operations.
Operational Duties (as required)
Appointed Person:
* Plan lifting operations end‑to‑end, including equipment selection, risk assessments and methodology.
* Ensure checks, inspections and reporting processes are in place.
* Brief lifting teams and maintain control of the operation.
* Stop operations if safety is compromised.
Lift/Crane Supervisor:
* Review certification and documentation.
* Brief teams and supervise lifting activities.
* Ensure the lift is carried out in line with the plan and report any changes.
Slinger/Signaller:
* Select and check lifting accessories.
* Attach/detach loads and control movements using agreed signals.
* Maintain safe load control throughout the lift.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong IT skills, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
* Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
* CPCS Slinger/Signaller (competent operative).
* CPCS Appointed Person (competent operative).
* A professional, safety‑focused approach and the ability to work well with clients and site teams.
