Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Bath on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project with a reputable contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

* Setting out for highways works including drainage, earthworks, and road construction

* Ensuring all work is completed in line with project specifications and drawings

* Carrying out quality assurance checks and maintaining accurate site records

* Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and survey teams

* Producing and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)

* Managing as-built surveys and documentation

* Supporting the delivery team to ensure project milestones are met

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects

* Strong setting out skills (GPS, Total Station)

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* CSCS card (essential)

* Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)

* Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

* Experience working on major highways schemes

* Knowledge of QA processes and site documentation

* SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous)
