Site Manager
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to deliver a programme of works at a major healthcare facility in Gloucester, focused on accommodation upgrades and associated infrastructure.
The role is with a well-established regional contractor known for delivering a diverse range of projects across healthcare, commercial, and public sector environments. The business has a strong reputation for working in live, operational settings, delivering projects that include new build, refurbishment, fit-out, and ongoing maintenance works to a high standard.
The Role
This is a key, client-facing position where you will be responsible for managing a variety of works across the site, including new build elements, refurbishment, internal fit-out, and maintenance activities.
Given the live hospital environment, the successful candidate must be confident coordinating works safely while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and minimising disruption to ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Managing day-to-day site operations across multiple workstreams
Coordinating subcontractors, labour, and materials
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
Maintaining strict health and safety standards within a live healthcare environment
Acting as the main point of contact for the client and stakeholders
Overseeing quality control and ensuring high standards of finish
Managing site documentation including RAMS, reports, and permits
Ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations during works
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on healthcare, public sector, or similar projects
Experience delivering a mix of new build, refurbishment, and fit-out works
Strong client-facing skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships
Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams
Essential requirements include SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at Work.
