A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join one of Fawkes & Reece’s established clients on a long-term civils project in Cardiff. This Site Engineer role offers a strong day rate, weekly pay, and the chance to work on a key infrastructure scheme with a reputable contractor.
About the role of Site Engineer
As a Site Engineer, you will be supporting the delivery of a civils project, taking responsibility for setting out, quality assurance, and coordination of subcontractors on site. The project is expected to run for approximately 6–8 months and involves typical civils works within a structured project team environment.
Responsibilities for Site Engineer
• Carrying out accurate setting out using GPS, Total Station, and levelling equipment
• Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications
• Maintaining quality control and keeping accurate site records
Requirements for Site Engineer
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Site Engineer on civils projects
• Strong setting out experience with relevant surveying equipment
• CSCS card and relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
• Good understanding of health & safety and site procedures
