H&S Advisor
Health & Safety Advisor – Full Time / Permanent
Location: Office-based in Waltham Abbey with site visits to London / South-East England
Salary: £40 – £45k plus package
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to oversee and improve safety programmes across a range of maintenance and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction experience to make a real impact on health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain health & safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and produce method statements.
* Investigate incidents and report RIDDOR cases.
* Organise and deliver health & safety training.
* Manage contractor approvals and maintain safety documentation and SSIP accreditations.
* Ensure equipment servicing, PPE/RPE stock, and plant registers are up to date.
* Support internal and external audits, including ISO45001 compliance.
Skills & Experience:
* Construction industry experience in a similar H&S role.
* Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation.
* NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
* Computer literate and able to work independently.

* 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 25 days after 1 year)
