Commercial Assistant / Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Brentwood)

Our client, is a Principal Contractor established in August 2010. Their team is committed to delivering value, quality, and excellence in everything they do. They deliver high-quality refurbishment and construction services across commercial, residential, and public-sector projects. From full building renovations to modern interior fit-outs, they manage every stage- design, planning, and construction- to transform spaces efficiently and sustainably.

They are now looking for a Commercial Assistant / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a full time, permanent bases ate their office in Brentwood, Essex.

💼 Salary: £20,000 – £25,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
📅 Start Date: Within a few weeks of a successful interview

The Role
You’ll support the commercial team with a strong focus on:

* Procurement and tendering processes

* Scope analysis and take-offs

* Negotiating with subcontractors

* Assisting in cost management across projects

Ideal Experience

* 6 months – 2 years’ experience on the contracting side

* Experience attending site visits at tender stage (preferred but not essential)

* Keen to be part of a small, highly coordinated team

* Eager to develop a broad understanding of construction and commercial processes

* Motivated to grow skills in procurement, tendering, and project delivery
