Groundworks Supervisor – Charlton

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join a reputable civil engineering contractor delivering projects across Charlton and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional looking to take ownership of site operations and drive high standards on the ground.

The Role
As a Groundworks Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. You’ll play a key role in coordinating teams and maintaining progress on site.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising groundworks operations on site

*

Managing operatives, subcontractors, and plant

*

Ensuring all work complies with health & safety regulations

*

Monitoring daily progress and reporting to the Project Manager

*

Reading and interpreting drawings and site plans

*

Maintaining quality control and resolving on-site issues

About You

*

Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor or Foreman

*

Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering projects

*

SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred

*

CSCS card required

*

Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively

*

Proactive and solution-focused approach
