Location: Romford (office based)
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Draughtsman / Designer to work on bespoke joinery and high-end fit-out projects across commercial and specialist environments. This role will involve producing detailed technical drawings, developing design solutions, and supporting projects from concept through to installation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring designs are practical, accurate, and aligned with both client specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed manufacturing and installation drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
* Develop bespoke joinery and washroom design solutions based on client requirements.
* Liaise with project managers, site teams, and production to ensure design feasibility.
* Interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
* Revise drawings in line with project changes and client feedback.
* Attend site surveys, project meetings, and coordination reviews when required.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and project deadlines.
Requirements
* Proven experience in joinery, fit-out, or carpentry.
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and installation methods
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team..
* Understanding of carpentry and joinery is essential.
* Full UK driving licence (required due to office location and site visits) , no acces with public transport.
