Quantity Surveyor
We are working with an established specialist construction commercial consultancy and project management business near Winchester who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
They have had a steady and managed period of growth over the last 10 years and have a full order book for 2026 through to 2028 and work on a range of schemes in the healthcare, education, local authority and care marketplaces and are flexible enough to be able to take on a majority of the needs for a client from advice and consultancy to full scale project management.
They operate an hour from Winchester covering Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Surrey
The role is different from a traditional contracting based commercial role but the old school 1st principles, best practice training you received and then implemented in your daytime role will form the basis of your new role here as they operate on construction based principles and want people from the construction industry who know how to build and bid, estimate and then deliver a scheme.
You will be working with clients at early stages to establish programmes, bills, scope of works etc, selecting contractors to go through pqq and then issuing tender documents. You will then review submissions and make your recommendations to the client about best options before appointing a contractor. You will the be responsible for managing their programmes, valuations, variations etc and representing the client and looking after their best interests.
You will have a lot of autonomy to make real time decisions and we will be fully backed by head office support functions and you will report into the Managing Director who came from a Tier 1 contracting background.
If site life is not working for you then this is a unique opportunity to keep doing the best bits of your job and all the good stuff you have learned in a different atmosphere and environment so apply today.
