Site Manager
The Company:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Site Manager to join my client, an innovative housebuilder operating across the South and South West of England. They deliver high-quality, small to medium-sized residential developments, typically up to 40 homes per site working in partnership with public and private sector landowners.
The Opportunity:
Due to a successful planning outcome they are starting on site on a new development in Dorset and are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of this 21 unit traditional build residential development in Dorset. You will play a key role in delivering the development and will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day site operations from inception through to completion
Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site labour
Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to senior management
Ensure all works comply with planning conditions, building regulations, and company standards
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks
Lead site meetings and maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits, and site records
Support the successful handover of completed homes to clients and stakeholders
About You:
Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction
Experience delivering small to medium-sized housing developments (ideally up to 100 units)
Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and site management best practices
Experience working on complex or constrained sites is highly desirable
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Qualifications:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS Card (Black or Gold)
First Aid at Work
Full UK driving licence
