Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Interiors / Fit-Out)
Location: Bushey, Hertfordshire
Salary: £30k – £40k plus package

The Opportunity:
A well-established interior fit-out and drylining contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support its growing commercial team. With decades of experience delivering high-quality interior solutions across commercial, residential, education and hospitality sectors, this business has built a strong reputation for quality and repeat client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop within a specialist subcontracting environment.

The Role:
Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you will assist in the commercial delivery of interior fit-out projects, from procurement through to final account.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and tender analysis

* Procurement of subcontract packages and materials

* Supporting the preparation of valuations and applications for payment

* Managing variations and change control processes

* Assisting with subcontractor accounts and final accounts

* Site visits and liaising with project teams to monitor progress and costs

* Ensuring commercial processes are adhered to throughout project lifecycle

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience in a Quantity Surveying role

* Exposure to packages such as drywall partitions, ceilings, screeding or façade systems is advantageous

* Degree or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar

* Strong numerical and commercial awareness

* Ability to build relationships with both site teams and subcontractors

* Organised, proactive and keen to learn
