Quantity Surveyor – Ireland

We are working with a leading Irish Main Contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent permanent opportunity to work on a strong pipeline of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Ireland.

Role Overview
You will play a key hands-on role in the commercial management of high-value civils and infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams, you will be responsible for cost control, valuations, and financial reporting on technically demanding and large-scale schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and submit monthly valuations, applications for payment, and cost reports

* Measure, value, and negotiate variations and change orders

* Manage subcontractor accounts, including procurement, payments, and final accounts

* Assist with tendering, cost planning, and commercial bid support

* Track project costs, forecasting, and cashflow

* Maintain accurate commercial records and support claims preparation

* Work collaboratively with site teams to protect and improve project margins

Requirements:

* 4–7 years’ post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor

* Solid background working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, enabling works, etc.)

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying

* Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills

* Proficient in Excel and commercial management software
