Site Manager – Heavy Industrial / Steel Frame

Location: Plymouth
Salary: £55,000 & completion bonus
Contract Type: 18-Month Fixed Term Contract

The Role: We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a contractor based in Plymouth, delivering a heavy industrial / steel frame construction project.

This is a fast-paced, high-pressure site environment, requiring a strong leader who can manage site operations effectively while maintaining safety, quality, and programme targets.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee day-to-day site operations on a busy construction project

* Manage subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and to programme

* Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance, including CDMs

* Monitor progress, quality, and productivity across the project

* Ensure all procedures and site processes are followed correctly

* Work closely with the wider project team to deliver on key milestones

Requirements & Experience

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial or steel frame projects

* SMSTS certification

* CSCS card

* First Aid at Work

* Temporary Works (advantageous)

* Strong IT skills and ability to manage site systems and reporting

* Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

* Strong organisational and communication skills
