Building Surveyor – Fire Safety

A Building Surveyor role based in Orpington, Kent offering £60,000–£75,000 on a Permanent full-time basis. This position combines building surveying with fire safety and health and safety compliance across public sector assets, reporting to a Partner and managing instructions independently.

Responsibilities

* Deliver inspections, technical reports and defect diagnosis

* Manage projects including surveys and contract administration

* Undertake fire risk assessments and compliance advisory

* Prepare specifications, tenders and statutory applications

* Liaise with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Requirements

* MRICS qualified or working towards

* Consultancy experience in building surveying

* Knowledge of fire safety and health and safety legislation

* Experience with JCT contracts and project delivery

* Ability to produce technical reports independently
