Construction Procurement Manager
We are working with a well-established main contractor delivering commercial projects across the UK. who are looking to appoint a Construction Procurement Manager to strengthen their commercial and supply chain function.
This is a key role responsible for managing procurement across multiple projects, developing supply chain relationships, and ensuring best value is achieved across all packages.
The role
You will take ownership of procurement activity across a range of construction projects, working closely with commercial and operational teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective buying strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing end-to-end procurement of subcontract and material packages
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors
• Negotiating terms, pricing, and framework agreements
• Supporting project teams with procurement strategy and risk management
• Monitoring market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards
The candidate
We are looking for a commercially aware procurement professional with experience in the construction sector.
You will ideally have:
• Proven experience in a procurement or buying role within construction
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement and supply chain management
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Experience working with contractors or developers
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
