We are a growing and reputable construction company specialising in social housing regeneration, refurbishment, and education projects, delivering high-quality schemes that improve communities and public spaces.
As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across multiple projects and ensure strong financial and contractual control.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the commercial performance of a portfolio of refurbishment and regeneration projects.
You will:
* Lead all commercial activities across multiple projects from tender through to final account
* Manage and mentor Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams
* Oversee cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
* Ensure effective contract administration (JCT/NEC)
* Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks and maximise project value
* Work closely with Operations teams to drive successful project delivery
* Maintain strong relationships with clients including housing associations and local authorities
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction
* Strong background in social housing refurbishment, regeneration, or education projects
* Excellent knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
* Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation skills
* Experience managing and developing commercial teams
* A strategic mindset with strong attention to detail
