Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Site Engineer which is in a remote location. It is 50 minutes North from Aberdeen in Peterhead. This is a 6 month contract.

You will undertake Site Engineering control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress.

The project involves significant heavy civil engineering such as earthworks, drainage and roads.

Qualities & Experience

Essential:

Core

* Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.

* Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes.

* Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.

* Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card.

* Must be a good team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Health Safety & Environmental

* Understands and able to use Permit to Work System.

* Environmental awareness.

Engineering Control

* Setting out techniques – ability to use survey equipment.

* Able to report issues with control and information provided.

Quality

* Reads and understands drawings and schedules.

* Understands Activity Control Plans and production of resultant information for handover file.

* Strong understanding of construction tolerances.

* Awareness and use of Specification and other Contract documents.

* Able to produce detailed documentation for handover of completed works.

Productivity

* Able to take off and schedule material quantities accurately.

Commercial

* Knowledge of specification and contract documents.

* Understands what constitutes additional works.

Desirable:

* Leadership skills developing.

* Targeting and actively progressing professional accreditation (eg ICE, IHT).

* EUSR Cat 1 & 2 Training.
