Our client is a privately owned construction and engineering business delivering complex, high-value projects across the healthcare sector and other specialist environments.

They are now seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their growing team and take ownership of procurement strategy across a portfolio of live and upcoming projects.

The Role

As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the full procurement lifecycle across multiple projects, ensuring the effective sourcing and appointment of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials in line with programme, quality, and commercial requirements.

Working closely with commercial, design, and operational teams, you will play a key role in securing best value, strengthening supply chain relationships, and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies across a range of projects
Lead the end-to-end procurement process, from enquiry through to subcontractor and supplier appointment
Manage and develop a reliable and high-performing supply chain
Prepare, issue, and evaluate tender packages in collaboration with commercial teams
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contractual conditions to achieve best value outcomes
Ensure procurement activity aligns with project programmes and key milestones
Work closely with Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to support cost control and delivery objectives
Monitor and manage supplier and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual, quality, and safety standards
Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks across projects
Support early-stage procurement involvement during pre-construction phases
Maintain accurate procurement schedules, records, and reporting systems
Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and supply chain engagement

About You

Proven experience in a procurement role within construction or engineering
Strong knowledge of subcontractor and supplier procurement processes
Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-focused with a proactive and structured approach
Experience within MMC or healthcare construction environments would be advantageous
