Senior Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor sought, M&E / Building Services. We require a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor with a proven MEP / M&E / Building Services Engineering background to join a major, high-profile project in Canary Wharf—Europe’s largest and most technologically advanced life sciences facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an M&E Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to be part of a flagship development within a leading engineering and construction environment.
The Role
* As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for key elements of the project, ensuring effective cost control, contractual compliance, and risk management throughout.
Key responsibilities include:
* Promoting and maintaining a safety-first culture across all project activities
* Ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and internal processes
* Interpreting contract terms to identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
* Maintaining accurate records to maximise contractual entitlement
* Working closely with operational teams to provide ongoing commercial support and project visibility
* Preparing and submitting applications for payment, including variations and compensation events
* Managing subcontractor accounts through to final account stage (with support where required)
* Monitoring project progress and providing accurate internal reporting
* Ensuring timely production of project documentation, including applications, certificates, and reports
* Supporting the negotiation and agreement of final accounts with the client
About You
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within an M&E environment
* Relevant qualification (Degree or HNC) or equivalent experience
* Strong background in change management and subcontract account management
* Experience working with JCT forms of contract
* Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
