Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a large-scale housing groundworks project. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established contractor delivering high-quality residential infrastructure, including roads, drainage, and plot works.

Key Responsibilities:

* Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, and external works

* Managing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with project requirements and tolerances

* Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and clients

* Conducting site surveys and maintaining accurate records

* Supporting quality control and health & safety compliance on site

* Resolving technical issues as they arise

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Engineer within groundworks or residential housing projects

* Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, and infrastructure works

* Proficient in the use of surveying equipment (e.g. GPS, Total Station)

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* CSCS card (essential)

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

* Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related field

* Experience with volume housing developers

* SMSTS or SSSTS certification
